Be a big spender… or a little spender… whatever you do, invest in some Google AdWords

 

Now you have worked out all your key phrases and given your development team all they need to develop superb metadata tags for each page, you need to get spending.

Sorry. You do. It’s a dog eat dog world out there on the internet, and dogs with accessories will beat those without every time.

Gah! You forgot to build this in to your website budget, didn’t you? Don’t panic - this doesn’t have to be expensive. All you need is a Google account.

A few paid for AdWords will give you more visibility, more quickly. AdWords and paid searches – also known as Pay-per-Click (PPC) also allow you to analyse your keywords and assess the best conversion rates.

Quite simply, if your paid for terms match those of someone’s search, your ad will appear on Google’s first results page.
